VICIdial is released under an open-source license, this allows our customers to have full access to their system and modify the software as they need to. There are, however, limitations to what you can do with VICIdial legally. VICIdial, upto and including version 2.0.4.1, has been released under the GNU General Public License version 2 (GPLv2). All versions since then have been released under the GNU Affero General Public License version 2 (AGPLv2). The complete GPLv2 and AGPLv2 license text can be read on this website as well on the website of the Free Software Foundation and in the Source code package.

VICIdial is a registered trademark in the United States and all countries that have trademark agreements with the United States. For details you can check the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
